Two Killer New CTF Maps...
Posted by Toonces T. Cat on Monday, July 10th, 3:30 PM CDT

Two Outstanding New CTF Maps Tonight:

CTF-Lucius' Pit is a medium size map that has all of the game-play of Acidpipe and the violence of Gazpacho rolled into one package...I have a strong feeling that everyone is gonna really like this map.

Get the zip file here: CTF-Lucius ...or take the push...and watch that first step. It's a whopper!

CTF-Sunday is a monster size map on the order of Faces of the Pharaohs. Chronos calls it Noork's Elbow that's been properly balanced. I'd call that a pretty accurate description and add that it's a very clean map with none of the HOM errors and other anomolies that we found in Noork's Elbow.

Get the zip file here: CTF-Sunday ...or just take the redirected push.

Screen shots from both CTF-LUCIUS and from CTF-SUNDAY are immediately below this article.

The Final Word on the Matrix Moves Mutator...

The Matrix Moves Beta 2 is Off the Servers:

I managed to waste about three or four hours of my life yesterday in a futile attempt to get the Matrix Moves mutator working on the servers. It must not be practical for these folks to test this stuff in a real network environment on dedicated servers...or surely they would not release these things in this sort of shape. I know they have a list of "known issues" on their readme page, but give me a break here! This mod is as buggy as a roach motel.

If you'd like to know what Triumph the Insult Comic Dog thinks of the mod, check the link below:

The Matrix Moves Are Back and New CTF Map...

The Matrix Moves Beta 2 is up the Dead Kitty's UT Server:

I have the following advice for you regarding the mod...Don't install it on your system. The skin bug is not completely fixed. I think the additional files that will be pushed to you are intended to fix the problem for the Bonus Pack models and for the Rumiko model. Neither of them addresses our custom team skins. I believe that if you take the mod as a cached file, you will not experience any difficulties...I did not. The only time the skins act up now is if you change team colors during the middle of a CTF match or Team Death Match. You must manually re-select your DC or BT skin after you make the change or you'll default to a Boss skin as with the first version. Other than that, it seems to be pretty bug-free and, in the worst case, you can always just manually reset your skin with no harm to anything else.

The mod is very complex now...but equally cool and a lot easier to use in game-play. It is up and running now on the Dead Kitty's UT Server.

A New CTF Map:

Chronos put me on to a great new map, CTF-LUCIUS. I'll try to have it running later tonight on the Stuffed Cats. Inc Server. The map will push from the redirect server or you may download the zip file here: CTF-Lucius

Team Death Match Server Fixed and a New Dead Cat...
Posted by Toonces T. Cat on Friday, July 7th, 3:30 PM CDT

Four-Way Team Death match server fixed:

The Dead Kitty's UT Server had a problem last night with one of the maps. DM-Sands was not downloading properly and was giving many players a version mismatch error. It turns out that there are two different .unr files for the map. The correct file is 2168Kbs in size. The zip file containing the correct version is available on the "FILEZ" page.

A New Dead Cat:

Y'all say hi to [DC] Missing Lynx, aka Raymond Saenz. He'll be wearing the Puma skin. Everyone give him a big Dead Cat howdy and then kill him a few times...:-)
