CTF-Aquamarina X32 is the most recent recipient of CliffyB's "Ownage Award"...which doesn't really leave much to say other than this thing is HUGE!

CTF-Long Walk Home:

The Blue flag base...

CTF-Long Walk Home has two unique bases. In spite of the lack of symmetry, the map is reasonably well balanced. The Blue base's flag is in a slightly more protected environment, but it is placed much lower than the Red base and is an easy target for a fast teleport by a flag runner from the other team.



The Red flag base....

The Red base is out in the open, but must be attacked through a tunnel entrance or by using a teleport to the top of the cliff. The teleport may look easy, but the sniper coverage is highly effective. If your covering players don't take out the red snipers, you're going to have a tough time getting out with the flag after you take it.



Bridges are at the center of the routes between bases...

There are two bridges...as seen in the screenshot above...that are in the center of the high and low routes between the bases. Jumping from the high bridge to the low bridge is possible, but very risky business. The detail found in this area of the map is quite remarkable.



One of the lava filled rooms in the tunnels...

The tunnels offer a great deal of variety in both textures and terrain. They are all well lined with weapons, ammo packs, and health pick-ups.



A torch-lined area in the tunnels...

The atmosphere in this map is simply terrific...It sets a great mood for the game and does a superb job of letting the player actually slip into the virtual world the author has created. It's very easy to think of CTF-Long Walk Home as a real place rather than just another CTF map.



Fallen columns in one of the tunnels...

Every detail in the map has been well thought out. Long Walk Home offers the variety of an Urban Hotzone without introducing the same degree of imbalance into the game-play. This a perfect map for low gravity and I hope it will get a lot of play on the server. It is also well suited for the Cat Bots. They are as tough as ever, but the large open areas and the wide tunnels provide even the average player with a fair shot at them.
